Introduction

Tranzman categorises Devices into three types. The objectives are listed below

  • Tape Library  : Used to share backup server tape library with Tranzman Server.
  • Disk Library  : Used for cross vendor migrations.
  • NAS Connectors: Used for mounting NFS/CFS shares on appliance for Data Recovery to files.


Adding Tape Devices to the Tranzman Appliance.

  • In Tranzman webconsole, navigate to System -> Devices.

  • By default, the page list the Tape Library section and if the library has been properly added(zoned) to the Tranzman Appliance , the Libraries and Devices sections should reflect the information of robot

and Tape drives.

  • On the top right corner of the page has Inventory InventoryButton.JPG to run an inventory and ViewsContentsButton.JPG to view the contents of the library (i.e. DRIVE,TAPES).
