Introduction
Tranzman categorises Devices into three types. The objectives are listed below
- Tape Library : Used to share backup server tape library with Tranzman Server.
- Disk Library : Used for cross vendor migrations.
- NAS Connectors: Used for mounting NFS/CFS shares on appliance for Data Recovery to files.
Adding Tape Devices to the Tranzman Appliance
- In Tranzman web console, navigate to System -> Devices. By default, the page list the Tape Library section. Click on

- Click on + and add the IP address and port number of iscsi Target and click on Scan icon.
- Once the Scan is completed, perform an Inventory of Tape Library by click on Inventory button
. The results can be viewed under Views
All the devices information will also be displayed in separate section with Drive status information, Loaded mediaID, Drive name etc.,

Adding Disk Library to the Tranzman Appliance
- In Tranzman web console, navigate to System->Devices.
- Click on the Disk Library section and click the + icon to add a Disk share (supports NFS, SMB and local share) information.
